Chartered in 1991, AABE Mississippi Chapter’s (“AABE MS”) mission is to amplify the voices and perspectives of minority and vulnerable communities in the discussions and decision-making processes around energy policies, regulations, research & development, and environmental issues. We aim to ensure that these communities have a meaningful input and that the impacts of national energy and environmental policies are not disproportionately borne by them. Furthermore, we encourage African American students to pursue careers in energy-related fields and provide scholarships and other financial aid to support their educational and professional development in these areas.
AABE MS is headquartered in Jackson, Mississippi. General meetings are held bi-monthly on the second Wednesday of the month at 10AM via zoom.
