The AABE National Board of Directors acts as the governing body, setting overall policies, strategic direction, and overseeing the organization’s operations by providing high-level guidance to the organization’s leadership team.

Kevin Simmons
I’m proud to serve as Board Chair of American Association of Blacks in Energy. The mission is to ensure the input of Blacks into the discussion and development of energy policies, regulations, emerging technologies, and environmental issues.
I currently serve as Deloitte’s US Consulting Sector Leader of Power, Utilities & Renewables. I oversee and drive the growth of the practice through sales and go-to-market strategies to address critical and complex challenges of our clients. Through collaboration with Audit, Tax, Risk, and Financial Advisory Services, our Consulting practice is able to deliver enterprise performance improvement, operationaltransformation, human capital services, IT and digital solutions across all geographies and businesses.
With over 20 years of experience addressing process and system issues impacting various business functions, I have worked with private and public companies integrate technology to get insights to make better decisions. I have also led initiatives focused on improvement of operating model, cost optimization field operations productivity and strategies focused on transition to a lower carbon future. I also serve on the United States Energy Association Board of Directors. I received my Bachelor of Science from Vanderbilt University. I also worked at PwC, Southern Co, Philips Healthcare, and The Coca-Cola Co.
